Published Author, Poet, Artist
Ken O’Toole is an abstract expressionist working in various media. Much of his work involves creating a “visual vocabulary” to communicate emotional and spiritual experiences and create new perceptions. His most recent work, paper sculptures combining action painting and paper folding techniques, display a myriad of surfaces resembling character sets and surreal landscapes.
Choosing the "classroom of doing," rather than more traditional training, has allowed O'Toole to accelerate his growth and remain open to experimentation.
O’Toole has recently received recognition by the Madi Art Museum of Dallas and the 2010 Rio Brazos National Juried Exhibit in Granbury. His visionary “Cultural Ghosts” series of photographs were the inspiration for the 2011 Sustaining Artists Juried Exhibit in Fort Worth. Other exhibitions include: BJ Spoke Gallery “PaperWorks” Juried Exhibit in New York, “Materiality” at the ARC Gallery in Chicago, and the Visual Arts Alliance Exhibit in Houston in 2009.
His artwork is collected by corporate and private entities across the country, including Findlay Properties Group in Fort Worth.
Ken O'Toole is currently seeking gallery representation.
